Multiple studies have shown that chiropractic care has a beneficial effect on pain management. However, new research suggests that it may also boost the immune system.

A study from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College tested the effect of chiropractic care on the increase of antibodies known to fight off infection. The data consisted of blood samples taken from a study group of 74 healthy, pain-free subjects. After administering chiropractic treatment, researchers found an increase in Interleukin 2-regulated in-vitro antibody production.

Researchers believe that this provides evidence that chiropractic care can boost the immune system, protecting the body from infections and leading to greater overall health.
