With the abundance of pesticides and hormones that grocery store produce companies inject their products with, people are becoming more and more aware of what they are putting in their mouths. A family a California is forcing people to ponder how to approach community gardening and its benefits.

Gardens are nowhere near as tedious as people tend to believe. They even make herb gardens for kitchens now. But this particular Pasadena family has managed to grow six thousand pounds of produce in their backyard. California neighborhoods are not known for their space, but they made the best of it.

This family does not hoard their loads of fruit and vegetables. Instead, they take the surplus and show the community not only are they able to produce their produce but by doing so, you are also providing for a community and drawing them closer together.
